Mobil@Doktorn

Uber-like healthcare platform connecting patients with doctors for on-demand home visits across 11 Swedish cities.

Mobil@Doktorn is Sweden's largest service for medical house calls, transforming how patients access healthcare. We partnered with them to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem — native patient apps for iOS and Android, a web application with separate panels for doctors and patients, an administrative control panel, and a promotional website. The platform enables patients to schedule doctor home visits as easily as ordering an Uber, complete with secure BankID authentication, payment processing, and route planning for physicians. The result is Sweden's #1 medical house call service operating across 11 major cities with 90+ doctors available at one click.

[ 01 ] The Challenge

What We Faced

Scheduling a doctor home visit in Sweden traditionally required time, patience, and phone calls during busy hours. Patients faced long waiting times and administrative hassles simply to arrange essential medical care. The healthcare system needed a digital transformation that would make house calls as simple and accessible as ordering a taxi. The challenge was creating a secure, intuitive platform that serves two distinct user groups — patients needing easy scheduling, and doctors requiring schedule management and route optimization — while handling sensitive medical data with enterprise-grade security and maintaining seamless operations across multiple Swedish cities.

[ 02 ] Our Solution

How We Solved It

We built a complete digital ecosystem centered around a two-side web application with separate panels for patients and doctors. Native iOS and Android mobile apps enable patients to schedule home visits from anywhere — literally from their couch — using an intuitive Uber-like interface powered by Google Places integration. For doctors, the platform provides schedule management, patient visit lists, and a convenient map interface for route planning across house calls. Security was paramount given the sensitive medical data involved; we implemented Sweden's BankID system as a 2-step secure authentication mechanism. The platform integrates multiple payment gateways and an automated invoicing system. An administrative control panel gives Mobil@Doktorn complete oversight of the entire operation. Since its first release in 2017, the product has continuously evolved through 5+ years of successful collaboration, becoming Sweden's largest medical house call service.

The Human-App Interaction is something entirely new in comparison to other healthcare scheduling tools. The most challenging part was to make this new approach obvious and intuitive for the end users. We achieved that through careful design and expert collaboration.
