Horizon Elite Travel is a premium travel curator specializing in bespoke, high-end travel experiences across six continents. We partnered with them to create a digital platform that matches the opulence of their destinations — a website that doesn't just display travel packages, but makes users feel like they're already there. The result is a scroll-driven cinematic experience that transformed how their clients discover and book luxury travel.
What We Faced
Horizon Elite Travel, a luxury travel curator, needed a digital experience that matched their premium positioning. Their existing website felt static and failed to convey the emotional impact of their destinations, resulting in high bounce rates (68%) and low engagement with their curated packages. The site used generic stock photography, had a clunky multi-step booking flow, and loaded slowly due to unoptimized assets. Mobile users — who made up 62% of traffic — had an especially poor experience with broken layouts and missing content.
How We Solved It
We built a high-performance Next.js 14 platform featuring a custom Canvas scrollytelling engine that plays cinematic image sequences as users scroll. Implemented a unique horizontal stacking card system for travel packages with 3D depth effects, glassmorphism UI, and seamless Razorpay integration. Every interaction was designed to feel fluid and luxurious, from the momentum-based smooth scroll to the staggered text reveals. The booking flow was condensed from 7 steps to 3, with auto-filled fields and real-time availability checking. We implemented aggressive image optimization with AVIF/WebP formats and lazy loading, bringing the Lighthouse performance score from 34 to 92.
What We Delivered
Full-stack web application with custom canvas animation engine, payment integration, and content management system.
How We Got There
Discovery & Strategy
Deep-dive workshops with the Horizon team to understand their brand DNA, target traveler personas, and competitive landscape. Analyzed user behavior data from their existing site to identify drop-off points and conversion blockers.
Creative Direction
Developed a cinematic design language inspired by luxury film trailers — dramatic reveals, deliberate pacing, and premium typography. Created a comprehensive mood board and interactive prototypes in Figma for stakeholder review.
Technical Architecture
Designed a custom Canvas rendering engine capable of playing image sequences at 60fps while maintaining smooth scroll performance. Built a component library with 40+ reusable UI elements following atomic design principles.
Development & Integration
Implemented the full-stack application with Next.js 14, integrating Razorpay for payments, Sanity CMS for content management, and custom APIs for real-time package availability. Conducted rigorous cross-browser and device testing.
Optimization & Launch
Performance tuning brought Lighthouse scores from 34 to 92. Implemented CDN distribution, image compression pipeline, and code splitting. Launched with a phased rollout and A/B testing framework.
